Things to Keep In Mind for Treatment
- Please arrive for your appointment with a clean face and without makeup.
- Avoid alcohol and smoking 24 hours before Botox treatment to minimize bruising from the procedure.
- Avoid unnecessary blood-thinning medications (e.g. NSAIDs like ibuprofen).
- Please notify your provider if you are currently on or have recently taken any antibiotics, as certain medications can affect treatment results.
- Neurotoxin treatments are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding patients.
- Do not lie down and minimize bending over for the next 4 hours.
- Refrain from massaging or manipulating the treatment area for 4 hours.
- Avoid strenuous activity, including exercise, for the remainder of the day and night following treatment.
- Results start to appear three to four days following treatment but may take up to two weeks to fully set in.
- Schedule your next appointment three to four months after your treatment to maintain results.
